For some individuals, their purpose lies in their responsibilities towards their family or friends. Others seek meaning through spirituality or religious beliefs. Some people may find their purpose expressed in aspects of life some as stated above.
There is one purpose set by true God the Lord of Abraham (PBUH)...Moses (PBUH)..Jesus (PBUH), Muhammed (PBUH), Who is the creator & sustainer of Universe, is to worship Him only if we fulfill such purpose with right faith and intention to please our God the Creator, then we shall be rewarded by God for good deeds like above & given eternal life in paradise after death & Day of Judgement.
Can wealth be Aim & Purpose?
If becoming rich is the purpose of life, then what will be their purpose after they have collected millions of dollars. So what? Then what, what will be their aim of life after they get these millions of dollars? If the purpose of life is to become rich then there will no purpose after becoming rich. In fact, here lies the problem for some disbelievers or misbelievers. When they have amassed the money oh which they have dreamt, their lives lose the purpose, they live in tension and restless and suffer the panic of nothingness.
We often hear of a millionaire committing suicide. The question is this; can aiming at wealth bring happiness to the individuals, In most cases, the answer is NO. Is amassing wealth is the constant purpose? there is a need for permanent purpose.
Purpose Guide Making Decisions, Fixing Life Goals
The goals set by an individual for himself may influence his behaviour, goals, objectives for what he struggles for?
A person who wants to become rich may exert all his efforts to find ways and means to become wealthy. To achieve such objective of being rich some persons may use unfair and corrupt methods, not distinguishing was is right and wrong to earn money.
Some persons make the goal of their life to help needy, poor, deprived persons, and arrange for free: food, medicines, etc this is a very noble cause. Such goals will lead a person to make charity organisations to serve mankind.
As per research: each religion has a different answer. Christianity, Islam, and Judaism concerned with having their followers live an ethical and moral life that God would approve of. These religions seem to police their followers more intensely as compared to other, more distant religions like Hinduism or Buddhism. There are very strict rules in the religion of Book, regarding what is wrong and right behavior and punishment will be given to those persons who violate these moral rules and laws. Christianity, Islam, and Judaism the "purpose of life" required by God maintaining morals and ethical. behavior by its followers. Judaism, Christianity, Islam are a religion of Book (sent by true God the creator of the universe to His Prophets & Messengers) for the guidance of mankind. Holy Quran is the Last Book after the Holy Bible.

Faith in the Creator of Universe, the Lord of Mary, Jesus (PBUH), Muhammad (PBUH), give the believer the purpose in life he needs, In Islam's purpose of Life is worshiping Allah, term "Worship" covers all acts of obedience to Allah.
The Islamic purpose of life is a constant purpose. The true Muslim sticks to this purpose through all stages of his life. whether he is a child, adult, or an old person. Worshipping Allah makes life meaningful especially within the framework of Islam.
This Life & World is Temporary and Test Place: This world is the place for earning good deeds (e.g. charity, helping others, making hospitals, water wells building, other donations), and the Paradise is the place of real eating and enjoyment forever. God sent His Prophets and Messengers (Abraham(PBUH), Moses(PBUH), Jesus(PBUH), Mohammed (PBUH)) for mankind guidance and warning them not to worship any false deity, but worship Him alone and there will be Day of Judgement for punishment and reward.
What a person needs to do: The actual goal of our lives is to worship our Creator God wholeheartedly and in a pure manner. Worship is not only offering Prayers & Fasting. We do recognize, the actual Creator, Sustainer, Provider of Universe & Life, and being grateful and thank full to Him, worship our God alone and do not associate any partner in any form/kind with Him, to surrender and submit ourselves to Him and obey the actual laws that He has determined for us.
